Leaving Hamburg and heading to Seoul

When I left Hamburg, I did not just say goodbye to everyone. I had to move out of the dorm. So I spontaneously decided to make a farewell-party.

Panda, Duc and Minh said goodbye at the airport. My brother and I flew to Seoul together on 26th August. It was a long flight, since we passed Dubai.

Due to the time shift and the flight time, we arrived in Seoul on 27th August. At the Incheon International Airport, there were three people waiting for us. Yoonbin, Kyoungmin and Jieun (from the Chang research group) picked us up. We took a bus from the airport to the inner city of Seoul.

On our way to Bongsan Yoonbin taught us about the T-money card. It is cheaper to travel with a t-money card in Seoul. Unfortunately, there is no week-ticket or month-ticket in Seoul. You have to pay for every trip on a public transport. However, you get a discount with the T-money card compared paying in cash. There are different card designs. Just the T-money symbol is important.

After arriving in the Building called Bongsan, I paid the complete rent for the 4-month stay and we went to get dinner. We ate chicken galbi (닭갈비).

Thank you Yoonbin, Kyoungmin and Jieun for picking us up at the airport!
